Orange Show Speedway amends camber rules
for Factory Fours
SAN BERNARDINO (May 1, 2007) –
Orange Show Speedway director of motorsports Joe Ganino Jr. on Tuesday
(May 1) issued two amendments to the rules for the Aflac Factory Fours
class.
The
amendments change the allowable tolerances for camber settings and are
being issued in response to the recent disqualifications of three entries
after the most recent race April 21. The disqualifications were upheld
after a lengthy review, but in the process of examining the rules and
discussing the issues with the competitors it was determined that a
modification of the rules was in order.
The amendments are to rule 14-11.8 for Trucks and
rule 15-11.2 for Cars and read as follows, with the new sections in
italic type:
14-11.8 (for trucks) – Stock suspension components
only except to achieve +/- 5 degrees of camber. Only stock adjustment
methods may be used as indicated in the service manual, and/or a camber
adjustment kit.
15-11.2 (for cars) – A maximum of +/- 5 degrees
of camber allowed on front wheels only. Only stock adjustment methods
may be used as indicated in the service manual, and/or a camber adjustment
kit.
The previous rule stipulated +/- 3 degrees of camber.
The amended rules will be in effect beginning with
this Saturday’s (May 5) racing program. The Aflac Factory Fours,
Hype Manufacturing Super Late Models, Soboba Casino Pro 4’s, Stock
Cars USA and Jr. Mini StocKars are on the schedule beginning at 6:30
p.m.
